Daniel T. Masterson, Founding Executive Director
Daniel developed an interest in food aid policy and programming while working as the manager for a central UNHCR/World Food Program food distribution site for Iraqi refugees in Damascus, Syria. The scope of the refugee problem in Damascus and outlying Syrian cities inspired him to use his background in Political Science and humanitarian work to found A Plate for All. He is currently an MPP candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and is a graduate of Bates College. Daniel has written about Iraqi refugee resettlement for the Harvard Kennedy School Review, and is pursuing research on policy issues in the Middle East with a focus on global hunger. Previously, Daniel conducted research for Samantha Power at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard.

Amelia Reese, Founding Program Director
Amelia is currently Research Coordinator for the USAID/Tufts University Food Aid Quality Review project at the Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. As Program Director of A Plate for All, Amelia has a background in policy and non-profit program design and management. Most recently she worked as an International Consultant at UNICEF-Syria on the Humanitarian Support Program for Iraqi Refugees. She is also continuing her studies and research at the Friedman School in the areas of food policy, public health, and applied nutrition. She is a graduate of Gordon College.

Bridgette Auger, Photographer, Director of Communications
Bridgette has a degree in Photography from New York University, and is a Masters candidate in the Social Documentation Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Bridgette has worked professionally in photography and communications as an assistant to photographer Steve McCurry of National Geographic, as a photographer at UNHCR-Syria, and as a freelance photographer in the Middle East and Asia. She has lived in the Middle East for several years, and her work has been published by CNN, Syria Today, and various UN publications, as well as in Out of Iraq by Sybella Wilkes, and The Iraqi Refugees: The New Crisis in the Middle East by Joseph Sassoon. Brian Lowe, Program Officer
Brian is a Research Associate at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, DC, where he works on issues related to development and humanitarian policy. He worked previously in the Community Services Unit of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Syria, while living in Syria and playing for the Syrian National Rugby Team. He graduated from Williams College with a focus on Political Science, History, and Middle Eastern Studies, and has lived in Egypt, Syria, and Tunisia.
